Citizen TV's political analyst David Makali joins politics officially, he will run in the upcoming Bungoma senetorial by election

Citizen TV's renowned political analyst and co-host of the Che Che Talk Show, which runs in the station on Wednesdays, has now joined politics officially after announcing his intentions to run in the upcoming Bungoma Senatorial by election.

While addressing a series of political rallies in the area, Makali who hap[pens to be a close ally of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, said time had come for him to represent the people of Bungoma in the Senate because according to him, Wetangula has failed them terribly.

He however did not reveal the party he will be vying on.

He also promised to bring transformative leadership in the county.

"I want you to know that I will run for the Bungoma senate seat in the coming by elections, but I will make major announcement soon and let you know on which political party I will be. I appeal to you too vote for me when that time comes" said Makali.

However, some political analysts have dismissed David Makali as a mere compromise candidate being groomed by CORD's top leadership to run in the event that Wetangula is locked out of the race.
