It has been revealed that several civil society groups are planning to stage mass actions around the country to cause civil unrest as soon as President Uhuru Kenyatta leaves to attend his trial at the Hague based International Criminal Court.

According to the Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega, the civil societies are funded by a number of foreign embassies in the country.

He also sensationally claimed that the groups are already on the ground mobilizing Kenyans to come out and demonstrate as from 12th November when the President is expected to leave the country. This he says, is in a move to cause civil unrest in a bid to render the country ungovernable.

The Member of Parliament further claimed that the protest are planned to be even more worse should the President fail to attend his trials at the Hague.

He also noted that the NGOs are busy working behind the scenes to stage 'nationwide civil disobedience' if President Uhuru decides to honor his date with the International Criminal Court, at the Hague.

The MP called on the leader of majority in parliament, Adan Duale, to take the matter seriously and report to the August house for necessary actions to be taken since that is an issue of national importance.
