BREAKING NEWS: IEBC withdraws Kethi's nomination as it gives Prof. Kaloki a green light to vie

Miss Kethi Kilonzo

News reaching The Reporter indicates that the IEBC's Dispute Resolution Committee has, on Monday 8th July, revoked Kethi Kilonzo's certificate of nomination on the grounds that she is not a registered voter consequently locking her out of the Makueni senate race.

While making the ruling, the Letangule's committee upheld Prof. Kaloki's candidature saying he has not broken the Political Parties Act nor any law of the land as far elections are concerned.

"We rule that the nomination of Kaloki by NARC was within the 45 days and thus was valid" ruled the Dispute Resolution Committee.

The wiper movement had contested Kaloki's candidature claiming that he is still a member of the party.

About Kethi's registration, the tribunal said it will launch investigations as how Kethi got her registration.

Meanwhile, Kethi has vowed to challenge the tribunal's ruling at the high court.
