Teachers led by their unions, Knut and kuppet, have vowed to down play the industrial court's order that required them to report back to work with immediate effect. The teachers, through their union leaders said they will not go back to class unless their allowances are paid in full.

On Monday, the industrial court ruled that all the striking teachers should go back to work starting Tuesday at exactly 8am. The teachers have been striking for the last one week. In defying this court order, the teachers through their chairman, Mr. Sossion, sought to legitimize their move by claiming that it is only the secretary general who has the powers to call off the strike. Therefore, calling on all the teachers to stay put untill the government pays their allowances.

Mr.Sossion, while speaking in reference to the court order that required them to report beck to work, advised the parents to keep their children at home since the 'the mother of all strikes' is due to start on Tuesday saying , the last one week was just but a rehearsal.
