The IEBC through its Dispute Resolutions Committee chaired by commissioner Thomas Letangule, will today, on Monday 8th July, 2013, rule on whether Kethi kilonzo will be allowed to vie for the Makueni senatorial seat or not.
This follows hearings that were conducted last week in which the Jubilee coalition and three voters from Makueni contested Kethi's candidature on the grounds that she is not a registered voter and therefore should not be allowed run for any political office.
During the hearings that were done at the Milimani Law Courts, sensational allegations were made. One such allegation was raised by Immaculate Kasait, IEBC's Director of Voter Registration when she said and confirmed that the registration slip that was used to register Kethi is among four that were stolen from a registration booklet. The Letangule's committee is expected to give its ruling today.
Today's ruling will either make or break Kethi's bid to represent the Makueni county in the senate as their second senator after the passing on of her father, Mr. Mutula Kilonzo, who was the county's first senator.

Meanwhile, according to information from credible sources, Kethi's lawyers, Mr. Harun Ndubi, Jullie Soweto and Tom kajwang' are not a happy with the Letangule's committee on allegations that they were not given enough time to make their case clear especially during the cross-examinations.
