President Uhuru Kenyatta has named a 10 member team to review parastatal policies and recommend any changes to the state corporations.
The public firms are set to be restructured in order to reflect the jubilee government policies.
In press statement sent to newsrooms, the head of state explained the membership of the taskforce which includes professionals from both the government and private sector.
“The taskforce will deliver its report within six weeks, but in any event not later than September 15, 2013,". The president also said that the team would be transformational.
Those appointed to the team include former Mandera Central MP Abdikadir H. Mohamed (Executive Office of the President), Kamau Thugge (National Treasury), Mugo Kibati (Vision 2030), Korir Sing’oei (Deputy President’s Office), Stella Kilonzo (Private Sector), Angalie Mediratta (Private Sector), Isaac Awuondo (Commercial Bank of Africa), Nelson Kuria (CIC Group), Carole Kariuki (KEPSA) and Edward Burbidge (Burbidge Capital Ltd).
