Angwenyi, Ghati: 'Jubilee government full of Kikuyus and Kalenjins'

The  Migori County women representative Denita Ghati and Kitutu Chache member of parliament Jimmy Angwenyi have called for an immediate restructuring of the jubilee government claiming it is full of Kalenjins and Kikuyus.

These claims come following the appointments of Cabinet Secretaries whereby 11 out of the total 18 who were appointed hails from central and rift valley, homes of president Uhuru and deputy president Ruto respectively.

They also observed that 16 out of the 26 Principal Secretaries come from the same regions.

Mr. Angwenyi accused the jubilee government for favoring their home regions when it comes to public appointments in spite of the fact that  Kenya is made up of more than 42 communities. Mr. Angwenyi was speaking in parliament yesterday, Thursday 18th July.

This statement was echoed by Denita Ghati who claimed that the Uhuru/Ruto government snubbed her region in the appointments.

"The sharing of positions has been skewed to favor Kikuyus and Kalenjins. Even Kurias voted for Uhuru/Ruto but have been sidelined in the appointments", Ghati said.
